A case of domestic violence has been reported in Ibadan, Oyo State capital as man, identified as Ahmed Saka, on Wednesday set his ex-lover, Mutiat Oladele, and her two children ablaze at Shogoye, Idi-Arere area in the ancient city.
According to NAN’s report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Olugbenga Fadeyi told newsmen that Mutiat and Saka, had been lovers before the woman ended the relationship.
The police spokesman said that Saka had threatened to end his life and that of Mutiat because she called off their relationship.
“The man went to set the house of his ex-lover ablaze because the woman said she was no longer interested in the relationship.
“Unfortunately, the woman and her two children died as a result of the incident while the man later died at the hospital,” he said.
