•Reveals reason they form unity forum
One of the bigwigs of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Alhaji Nureni Akanbi has condemned the heinous act by men of Park Managers System (PMS) for killing Abdul-Rahmon Azeez during mayhem that ensued between them and phone sellers in Iwo Road area of Ibadan.
According to Alh. Nureni while speaking at Political Circuit on Fresh FM anchored by Isaac Brown, Abdul-Rahmon voted for the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde whose men in PMS allegedly killed.
Alh. Nureni said he knows the deceased very well and how he voted for the governor in 2019.
Alh. Nureni who is one of the PDP leaders in Oyo State who formed unity forum, as break away faction from the political party also said they took the decision after many attempts to convince the governor to allow them have say in his government especially over insecurity, but proved abortive.
He said he is a father to the governor and he expect him to take his pieces of advice as father saying but the obvious is that the governor don’t listen to him and other leaders of the political party and a reason they excused themselves from his government.
Nureni made some clarification on reported news that they have formed a faction. According to him, the governor has abandoned the party’s state Secretariat in Molete and has practically moved the party’s activities to his Omituntun building in Iwo Road. Alh. Nureni noted that the governor has already divided the party while the party leaders only came to make this reality known to the public.
