Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, has issued a desperate plea for assistance in a viral video, urging Nigerians to help raise the N100 million ransom demanded by his kidnappers. The abductors have threatened to kill him by 3 pm on Monday if their demands are not met.
In the widely circulated video, Ojajuni is seen visibly distressed as a kidnapper points an AK-47 rifle at his chest. The youth leader appeals to the public for financial contributions to secure his release, emphasizing that even small donations could make a difference.
“Nigerians, please help me! Your donation—whether N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000—can go a long way in saving my life,” Ojajuni pleads in the footage. “My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video.”
The Afenifere National Youth Council confirmed Ojajuni’s abduction in a statement released last Friday, revealing that the incident occurred on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria. The council expressed deep sadness over the kidnapping and disclosed that the kidnappers are demanding N100 million for his release.
According to the statement, Ojajuni sustained a gunshot wound to his buttock during the abduction. The council has called for urgent action to ensure his safe return as the kidnappers’ deadline looms.
The situation has sparked widespread concern across Nigeria, with many citizens urging authorities and the public to intervene swiftly to save Ojajuni’s life. The viral video has amplified calls for collective efforts to address the growing issue of kidnappings in the country.
