Contrary to the lingering and alleged malicious stories in the last few days both in print and electronic media, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has confirmed the authenticity of certificate of Muheeba Dankaka, the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission.
The clarification from Ahmadu Bello University regarding the authenticity of Muheeba Dankaka’s certificate is a relief amidst the malicious rumors surrounding her educational qualifications.
The university’s registrar confirmed on January 16, 2024, that the certificate issued to Dankaka is genuine, putting an end to any doubts.
Furthermore, the speculation that Dankaka was invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been clarified as false. It seems that there was a petition against Dankaka, highlighting the presence of different names on her educational certificates. However, it has been discovered that these variations in names are all related to her true identity.
For instance, her father’s name, Salawu, can be sometimes pronounced or written as Salau. Similarly, her given name, Muibat, may also be written as Muiba or Muheeba. It is not uncommon for variations in spelling and pronunciation to exist, and this does not cast any doubt on the authenticity of her credentials.
Moreover, it is worth noting that after marriage, it is customary for women to adopt their husband’s family name. Therefore, Muheeba Dankaka is her married name, which further explains the presence of different identifications.
The confirmation of the genuineness of Muheeba Dankaka’s certificate by Ahmadu Bello University puts an end to the rumors and emphasizes the importance of verifying facts before spreading false information.
