The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Friday at Governor’s lodge, Government House, Agodi, Ibadan described his wife, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi as epitome of love to less privileged in the society especially women and children.
The governor while extolling virtues of his wife during her 60th birthday, said Mrs. Ajimobi is a rare generous woman who cares for children and women and other less privileged persons in the state.
He also expressed gratitude to God for granting him success in office for the last 8 years saying that his achievements in office is numerous despite condemnation from some quarters in the state.
Governor Ajimobi said: “today is one of my happiest day due to timing of aftermath of the election. We are lucky to have served successful. I don’t want to reel out our achievements so it won’t be as if I’m proud but I can tell you we have done very well. I have nothing to saying than to thank Him”.
He added that she met his wife 39 years ago at a bank in Marina Lagos and since that time, his wife has been making huge deposit of love in his life bank account.
The celebrant, however gave thanks to God for witnessing 60 years on earth. According to her, about 8 years ago her husband assumed office as governor of the state, “we came in with family of seven but today, we are family of 18.
“I have every cause to thank God because He’s good to me. I thank my children my best friend and husband, the governor of the state and I say if there is reincanation, I will marry Abiola Ajimobi over and over again”, she said.
In his sermon, an RCCG pastor, Agu Iruku said the essence of birthday celebration is to give thanks to God for another year’s blessings. He described the marriage between the celebrant and her husband as a perfect one noting that despite both coming from different backgrounds, their marriage still stand firm.
He said: “they are always a two lover birds and this should be a lesson to every home because the marriage has been going from strength to strength. Her virtues show in love she has for her children with 8 grandchildren and still counting.
