According to latest news from the town, a farmer identified as Alfa Sikiru Akinlotan went to his farm on Wednesday morning along Apodun and lgangan road.
It was gathered that the dead body of the man was rather found later in the evening around 5:30 pm about 20 metres away to his 12 acres Cocoa plantation.
It was gathered according to the coordinator of Amotekun corps in Ibarapa North that his death is not as a result of attack by fulani or any other person while he warned against fake news.
Alfa Sikiru Akinlotan was from gbogi compound, Isale Akao area in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government.
He was reported dead inside his farm at itigbo,apodun road, Igangan on Wednesday.
It happened that his cocoa farm with his cashew farm was set ablazed .”Wherein he met his untimely death while he was trying to quench off the fire. He was never attacked by any Fulani nor other person, the Amotekun coordinator stated.
According to the report, the real cause was unknown to anybody but it was guessed he died of heart attack from the fire incident.
The death of the farmer who is about 65 years of age was reported at lgangan police station and the corpse was released for burial by eight o’clock last night for burial.
