A group working for the victory of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Oyo State, Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, has said the former Vice President would win the 2023 presidential election as he is on a mission to rescue Nigeria.
The Deputy Director General of the group, Alhaji Mukaila Aborode, said this on Tuesday when the leadership of the group paid a courtesy visit to the management of Fresh FM, Ibadan.
Other members of the team include Chief Segun Oyewole; Hon. Taiwo Ige; Messrs Ademola Adeeyo, Biodun Michael and Stephen Olaniyi.
Aborode who lamented that the country is presently bleeding on all fronts and Nigerians suffering under a leadership that has failed them, warned that it is important for the country to get it right during the election by electing a leader that would move Nigeria forward.
The former Commissioner for Environment maintained that Alhaji Abubakar is the best man to rescue the country from the abyss that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, has thrown it into, stating that the Waziri Adamawa is a highly experienced politician endowed with all the abilities to deliver on his promises.
He added that as a de-tribalized Nigerian who is married to wives from the three major tribes, Abubakar is a unifier that would unite Nigerians and save the country from disintegration.
Aborode while urging the management of the radio station to partner with the group to promote the image of the former Vice President, assured that the group will do everything humanly possible to sell him to Nigerians for them to appreciate his worth.
The Group General Manager of Fresh FM Nigeria, Alhaji Abolade Salami, who received the team on behalf of the Chairman, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, said the doors of the radio station are open for the group at any time, urging that the group should take advantage of the political programs on the radio station both in English and Yoruba to promote its principal.
While assuring that the radio station is more than ready to partner with the group, he however said as an organisation that is conscious of its responsibility it would continue to maintain its neutrality and be fair to all the political parties.
The Anchor of Political Circuit on the radio station, Mayor Isaac Brown, in his own remarks, said members of the group are at home, stating that whatever assistance needed that is within the reach of the station would be made available to them.
