Ayorinde Adedoyin, the son of Billionaire industrialist, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, has mourned the death of his sister, Princess Omolola Olobayo.
Ayorinde is the Managing Director of PeaceGate Group of companies at Lekki area of Lagos State. He contested for 2019 governorship election under Accord Party in Kwara State.
His sister, who was reported dead and the mother of Subomi who died in June, Mrs. Omolola Grace Olobayo, was currently the Group Managing Director of Doyin conglomerate with over 20 years working experience.
Ayorinde took to his Facebook page on Saturday morning to mourn death of his sister, Omolola.
He wrote below:
I sit here and ponder how very much
I’d like to talk with you today,
there are so many things
that we didn’t get to say.
My sister, I know how much you care for me,
and how much I care for you,
and each time I think of you,
I know you’ll miss me too.
An angel came and took you by the hand, and said
your place was ready in heaven, far above…
and you had to leave behind, all those you dearly loved.
You had so much to live for, you had so much to do…
It still seems impossible that God was taking you.
And though your life on earth is past, in Heaven it starts anew.
You’ll live for all eternity, just as God has promised you.
And though you’ve walked through Heaven’s gate,
we’re never far apart,
for every time I think of you
you’re right here, deep within my heart.
Remember, the Kwara State-born founder of Doyin Group lost a grandson to suicide last June, even as another daughter of his, Funke had died of cancer in 2018.
Funke who was then a member of the House of Representatives, died three years ago in September 2018 from cancer.
Meanwhile, Omolola the mother of Olasubomi who committed suicide around June this year, passed away in a Lagos hospital on Tuesday night.
Omolola was a former president, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, North Central zone and Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Global Soap and Detergents Company, Ilorin, reportedly died of cardiac arrest.
The late princess, who was married to Prince John Olobayo, lost her first son, Subomi, 28, in June.
Omolola was reported to have died in a Lagos hospital after being on admission for seven days.
Sources close to the family revealed that Subomi her son was depressed for sometime and he was said to have had running battles with his father.
“His mother travelled to Abeokuta, Ogun State for a function.
“Subomi became suddenly moody and withdrawn sometime ago, but he had a particular girlfriend that usually changed his mood for better anytime she came around.
“The girl is about four months pregnant for him. When the girl came around on Tuesday, Subomi’s father snubbed her and he did not attend to her,” said a source.
We were reliably informed that Subomi got infuriated and stormed out of the house and that they didn’t hear from him until around 5pm, when they saw his dead body in the backyard.
Meanwhile, Omolola’s husband, who confirmed her death to newsmen on phone on Wednesday, said that the family would meet to deliberate on the burial arrangement.
“She died in a Lagos hospital on Tuesday night. The family will meet to discuss the burial arrangement. A statement will be issued after the meeting to announce the burial arrangement,” John said.
According to PUNCH’s report, the family home of the Olobayos at Reservation Road, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State, was a ghost town on Wednesday evening, as nobody was available when The PUNCH correspondent visited the place.
