The Lagos state Police command has recently shared the story of a suspect who allegedly lures his female victims to hotels, drug them before stealing their valuable things. The report was shared on the official Twitter page of the Lagos state police command on the 6th of August 2022.
The suspect, whose name is given as Ifeanyi Odieze Ezenagu was said to have been arrested by detectives of the Surulere police division in Lagos state after complaints were logged by some of his victims.
According to the report, Ifeanyi was reported to have robbed about 30 women since he started the operation and that he allegedly operates by inviting the unsuspecting women to a hotel before he would lace their drinks with substances that would make them sleep off. The report further said that Ifeanyi would then proceed to steal their valuables before his victims wake up.
Some of the items said to have been recovered from the suspect include 3 iPhone 12, 2 iPhone 11 promax, 1 iPhone XR, one Nokia phone, one wristwatch and a gold necklace. The items recovered were said to be worth about 2,368,000 naira.
According to the Lagos state police command, the suspect, who is said to be 34 years old, will be charged to court soon after investigation is completed.
