292 persons were on Tuesday night evacuated by the Federal Government of Nigeria from Saudi Arabia.
The Nigerians were stranded in the Arab country due to the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The flight conveying the evacuees arrived late on Tuesday night at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Goeffrey Onyeama disclosed this in a tweet via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday.
He tweeted:
“We received 292 evacuees stranded in Saudi Arabia yesterday. The Saudi Government transported them to Abuja. A large number are nursing mothers and children and they are all comfortably settled in hotels under the mandatory 14 days quarantine.”
