Another tragedy has reportefly struck the family of late actress, Mrs. Folake Aremu popularly known as Orisabunmi as one of her sisters has reportedly died.
The news came after two days ago the death of her elder brother was announced. She lost the sister, Mrs Janet Ademola who is also an actress today, Saturday January 9, 2021 to COVID 19.
Recalled that 24 hour her death, her brother, Coach Steve Onishola, the Technical Director of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club of Ilorin was also reported dead.
Onishola died barely 24 hours after his younger sister, Folake Aremu, a Nollywood actress, popularly known as Orisabunmi, died at 61.
The State Chairman of the association, Dr. Joseph Adeyemo, confirmed the death in Ilorin on Thursday.
The late basketball coach was said to have passed on at 71 on Thursday in Illorin, following a brief illness.
The deceased was the Manager of Falcons on different occasions before he was appointed the club’s technical director.
Our source revealed that COVID-19 is suspected to be the disease killing them. Our source added that, the disease probably spread amidst them during the get together of the family siblings during December Yuletide.
Ademola, who was mourning her sister’s death, had in an interview with The PUNCH on Friday, described her elder sister as her best friend, a caring sister and a mother with a rare heart of love, PUNCH online reports.
She had said, “The death of my elder sister, Mrs Folake Aremu, is very painful because of what she stood for in our lives as family members. She was very friendly and caring; she never left her siblings untended. We are pained because she stood in as a good mother for all of us.
“As the last child of the family, she took very good care of me. We were very close and used to each other. She gave her best to ensure that I was well catered for. She was a selfless fellow. She was very humane and she persevered a lot. She would not underrate anyone.”
