A third case of coronavirus has been confirmed by the Lagos State government.
The state’s Commissioner of Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, made this at a press conference, on Tuesday.
This development comes days after the state government confirmed that the second case tested negative and was now free from the virus.
According to Abayomi, it is a new case that is independent of the index case. He added that the new case is a 30-year old Nigerian lady who returned from the UK on March 13.
The commissioner said the lady observed self-Isolation, developed symptoms and later tested positive to Covid-19 virus.
The lady is now at Mainland General Hospital receiving care.
