A private plane on Tuesday crashed into a building at Oba Akran Ikeja area of Lagos, Lagos State and it was captured on camera.
According to reports, aircraft crash landed around 3:30 pm adjacent to AP Filling Station, and United Bank For Africa, Oba Akran.
A CCTV footage which surfaced online shows the plane up in in flames in the commercial area after earlier catching fire near Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), its destination.
Four people narrowly escaped death during the accident as a team from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) later visited the scene.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Amodu Shakiru, confirmed the incident.
He said; “The helicopter crashed into a building but nobody died. The helicopter was used for training and it has four occupants on board. They had an escort motorised team that was following them on the ground during the training routine exercise which is the standard protocol.
“The motorised team were the first to arrive at the scene. The occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries and are currently receiving medical attention. We will provide more details later”.
