A picture of a voter’s card is presently trending online with picture of a young boy whose name is, Alhaji Alli Ghoon, a 30 year old Almajiri from Borno State.
This has however generated controversy over claim that it signals plot to rig forthcoming general elections in the state.
People are apprehensive that it may be a plot to rig the election for the former governor of the state. Kashim Shettima who is the running mate to All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Recalled Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno recently said his state is 90 percent safe for elections.
The governor said the security situation in Borno has greatly improved, adding that his administration is working to rehabilitate and resettle residents that were displaced by insurgents.
