The Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan North local government, Hon. Adeniyi Akanbi today Thursday, 18th February, 2021, commenced the distribution of customized exam books to schools.
The books are Basic Six Compendium Cumulative Assessment Simplified Questions and and answers guide for Entrance Exam onto J.S.S.1, text books and customized exercise books to students of public school across Ibadan North local government.
The brief ceremony was held at Ibadan North local government Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan.
In his speech, the Caretaker Chairman charged the students to focus on their studies and take proper care of the materials given to them for the preparation towards their entrance exam. He advised principals and teachers present at the event to focus more time on past questions while preparing Pry Six students for their Common entrance examination. He said the administration of the state governor, Gov. Seyi Makinde is determined to transform the education sector.
The SUBEB Chairman, Dr Nureni Adeniran, who was accompanied by members of SUBEB, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro and Hon Akeem Okedeji, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the good job, done by Hon. Adeniyi Akanbi. He said the provision of the books which were to be distributed to every student within the public primary schools in Ibadan North local government will increase their chance during examination.
He said he’s here to endorse the book, and promised that all the local government Chairmen would be producing exercise book for the school within their local government soon. And students in Oyo State now writing Unified Examination in which it was not happened during his time. Also, the examination writing in one school today is thesame with the examination writing in other schools across the state.
“On behalf of the Executive governor of Oyo state, I said a very big thank you for the Chairman of Ibadan North local government, Hon. Adeniyi Akanbi for his contribution towards the growth of the state”. He said.
The brief ceremony had in attendance the SUBEB Chairman, Dr Nureni Adeniran; the Chairman, Oyo State local government Service commission and chiftancy matters, represented by Alhaji Aiki, Secretary to the local government, Hon. Ademayowa adeniji, and other Members, special adviser to the governor in Ibadan North, Hon.(Mrs) Juliana, Permanent Secretary, Party leaders amongst others.
