The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has assured Christians that all genuine child of God will be spared from death by the dreaded Coronavirus scourge.
Adeboye stated this in a sermon monitored on DOVE television on Sunday saying that he is convinced that God has promised that He will protect His own.
Speaking during the sermon with the theme, “ Peace Be still “, Adeboye said although some are skeptical about what he said that some bishops have died of the COVID-19, genuine child of God will be spared.
He, however, maintains that people will now see why members of RCCG embarked of fasting and prayers at the beginning of the year in order to avert the looming disaster.
“ I know some will say that we have come again that what of the priests that have died of the Coronavirus. But I maintain that no genuine child of God will die
of Coronavirus. You may be bishop or even general overseer and not genuine. God know those who are His. There are lot of fake people around. The promise of God for His people is that no evil will befall them, neither will any plague come near their dwelling “. He said.
The revered clergy who admonished Christians to use the opportunity of the COVID-19 to be closer to their God said everything will soon be back to normal.
