A young farmer Abiola Oyadiran has commenced sharing of yam harvested from his farm in Ogbomoso to the people as part of palliative measure to cushion the economic effect of Corona virus.
He said the decision is part of effort to make people stay safe and healthy by eating better food in this trying time. Adding that the distribution of the Produce will not in anyway break the laid than rules of social distance by both the federal and State.
Oyadiran who is the chief of staff to a Federal Lawmaker Hon Jacob Ajao said the yam will be distributed to most vulnerable individual in the City, irrespective of political affiliations.
According to him the situation on ground now requires collective effort in making people to stay safe and prevent spread of corona virus.
“As part of my efforts in complimenting My Principal gesture “Hon.Captain Ajao Jacob Adejumo” and other dignitaries of the Valiant city, to support the most vulnerable in our community and easing the Suffering of Humanity; In my own little way, I’m donating Yam harvest from to 5acres of famland, to be distributed without breaking the social distance rules.”
” Obviously a lot of people are hungry now and a a malnourished and weak body is prone to all form of diseases which can aides the spread Corona virus in the body”.
While calling on wealthy Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper, the ogbomoso born entrepreneur and politiciaan said ” You have to be a millionaire before you can make people happy with the little you have share it and lets us all be happy’ he concluded
