Former Deputy governor and PDP Chieftain in Oyo State, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, has put smiles on the faces of some residents in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The gesture is as a continuous part of his generosity which is evident of his usual kind gestures with milk of human kindness.
Delivering the items through his aides, Gbolarumi described the gesture as part of his personal contributions to cushion the effect of hardship brought to them by the lockdown ordered by government to check the spread of covid-19.
Part of the items delivered to the people includes: Rice, Beans, Gari, uncountable noodles, semo- vita, cash and lots more.
Gbolarumi also used the medium to call on Oyo sons and Daughters in home and diaspora to join hands with government to fight this pandemic and also put measures in place to bring hunger to it’s kneel.
He said: “I call on religious leaders in the state to pray to God to put an end to the spread of this enemy of man existence called corona virus that have turn our body to a fertile ground for it’s spread and I advised people to comply with the directive of the state government till we put the strength of the virus to rest”.
He advised the beneficiaries to adhere strictly with government’s directive to prevent the spread of coronavirus by ensuring regular hand washing and social distancing.
In an interview, some of the beneficiaries appreciated Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi for the gesture, saying it would sustain them for some days and called on other leaders of the State to emulate the same step.
