Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly today begin distribution of food items to people of his constituency.
Buhari, the All Progressives Congress APC chieftain who is the chairman senate commitee on Land Trasport represents thirteen (13) local governments.
The items include 600 bags of rice 1500 bags of semo vita and others which amounts to several millions of naira.
The distribution was done through the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) and Muslim Society Of Nigeria in Ogbomoso and Oke -Ogun zones, market women and men as well as political leaders in the thirteen (13) local governments.
Honourable Adedeji Adeyemo, Special Adviser to the senator on political matters who spoke on behalf of the senator said “We are in a very challenging period and it is obvious the stay at home order may have some negative economic effects, so this is to support our people.
He maintained that the distribution of the relief materials is not politically motivated as it will go round irrespective of political. affiliation and religious belief I pray Allah will put a stop to this global pandemic”.
The senator also implore people to heed to the medically approved preventive measures such as social distancing, avoiding crowded areas, washing hands frequently, dabbing while coughing and sneezing, as well as use of sanitizers, among others”.

Senator Buhari who is the first lawmaker to break second term jinx in Oyo North Senatorial district has in the last few months facilitated over 50 ICT and E learning centres,Solar powered borehole,block of classrooms as well as reconstruction of federal road in his constituency.
