The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria through it’s National Secretary, Apostle Emmanuel Kure has described the sexual scandal by one of their men, the senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, as an attack on church and end time phenomenon.
The PFN scribe who was speaking Tuesday with journalists in Ibadan during a prayer program said the religious organization will find a way to reconcile the issue.
According to him, it is not an issue they can treat in the public domain while noting that the journalists are not helping the issue but make it worse. “Have you seen other religious bodies bringing such matter to a public domain? Why churches should be treating their matters in the public. The church will settle the matter in biblical way. The elders are on it and fasting and prayers have been organized to address the problem.
” This is one of the last day phenomena and in the last day, more of this will come but nonetheless, this has not diminished the church but make it stronger. It is part of prophecy being fulfilled”, he stated.
Fatoyinbo who denied any wrong doing has stepped down after agitations from different quarters in the country who demanded he should do so.
