Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde on Wednesday tasked commanders of the state joint security task force, named “operation burst” to redesign the architecture of operation for wider coverage of the state.
The Governor who gave the charge when he paid an assessment visit to Operation Burst office in Ibadan, said there was need for the joint security task force to beef up its operations especially around border towns particularly Ibarapa, Oke Ogun zones to forestall increasing challenges of insecurity.
The Governor also promised to relaunch the task force, readjust its budget and equip it with more men within his one hundred days in office.
Commander of the task force, Brigadier General, Oluyinka Soyele briefed some of their challenges and promised that the task would do it best in ensuring a safer Oyo state.
