EFCC Declares Two More Suspects Wanted Over ₦1.3 Trillion CBEX Crypto Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two additional individuals wanted in connection with the ₦1.3 trillion cryptocurrency fraud linked to the now-defunct Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).

The suspects, Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun, are alleged to have played key roles in orchestrating fraudulent investment schemes that led to significant financial losses for thousands of Nigerians.

In an announcement made on Wednesday, June 4, through its official social media channels, the EFCC called on members of the public to provide credible information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects.

This latest development comes in the wake of CBEX’s collapse in April, which reportedly wiped out over ₦1.3 trillion in investors’ funds. The incident has triggered widespread public outrage and intensified scrutiny of digital asset platforms operating in Nigeria.

Reiterating its stance, the EFCC pledged to continue tracking and prosecuting all individuals involved in cyber-enabled financial crimes, especially those exploiting the rapidly growing digital currency sector.
