..calls on INEC to disqualify APC, PDP from Ekiti East constituency 1 poll
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), party in Ekiti State has began plans to wrest power from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) party in the state come 2022 when the next governorship poll will hold.
APGA, which boasted that it is the party to beat come 2022 in the state called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the APC from participating in the polls that would hold in Ekiti East Constituency 1 because of the violence that erupted during the last poll that held in the senatorial district where some lives were lost recently.
State chairman of APGA, Honourable Rufus Alabi, who spoke to newsmen shorlty after the party’s meeting of all the local government chairmen which held at the party’s office in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, June 4, said APGA is prepared and determined more than ever before, to wrest power from the APC.
He scored the APC led government in the state very low in terms of impacting positively on the people saying that: “Ekiti State has stayed too long in darkness and our great party, APGA is ready and determined more than ever before to wrest power from the APC come 2022.
“It is Crystal clear that both the PDP and the APC have failed our people woefully as they have over the years, failed to deliver dividends of democracy to our people. Ekiti people yearn earnestly for good governance which will impact positively on them when APGA takes over the leadership of state. Enough of empty promises that amounts to nothing. Enough of the rape of our collective wealth for personal uses and selfish deeds.
“APGA is ready to liberate Ekiti from these political jobbers and plunderers,” he assured.
All the 16 APGA chairmen at the local level, also called on INEC to immediately disqualify both the APC and the PDP from participating in the Ekiti East Constituency 1 poll whenever the poll will come up in the area for peace to reign in the area.
