Some careful checks on earlier reports about the predictions of the popular cleric, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, have revealed that the seer had made prophecies about the EndSARs protests turning bloody and leading to attacks on governors and destruction of lives and properties.
Popularly called Primate Ayodele, the cleric is the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church with headquarters in Oke-Afa area of Lagos, the cleric has also predicted the recent clampdown on peaceful young protesters by the Nigerian army, although he had warned that the government should desist from being tempted to do that.
Checks on reports via some Nigerian dailies on the internet revealed that on April, 18, 2020, Primate Ayodele, when asked by Correspondent of Nigerian Express Newspapers how the economy would look like in year 2020, predicted that things would rather than improving, get so worse that Nigerians will have cause to attack their chief executives to the point of stoning their convoys. Hear his exact words:”Things will be so bad that people will stone governors’ convoys and even President Buhari’s convoy will be attacked. We will keep borrowing. In spite of bailout some states will still owe. Incessant killings and violence will hold sway.”
While responding to further questioning about how the promise of a next level of change by the President Mohammadu Buhari led government would turn out to be, Primate Ayodele had expressed pessimism, saying categorically that there won’t be any next level of better change but rather a descent into chaos and more hardship for the citizenry. The cleric was so pessimistic that he declared that things would get so worse that government and the people would go after media organisations that attempt to disseminate the sad realities.
He had said: “am not seeing any next level, there will be hardship, pains. I am not seeing the economy improving. It will still be the same old story, nothing good or rosy about the economy. Some states promising minimum wage will still not pay. There will be epidemic, cholera in Army Barracks, Nigeria’s debt will keep rising. VAT will increase. Government should beware of the tendency to fight the media. There will be no press freedom. There will be protests against government. “
In what also had appeared like a prediction about the current negative reports against the national leader of the ruling party, Senator Bola Tinubu, Primate Ayodele had also warned him particularly about his presidential ambition. The cleric’s prediction actually hit the nail on the head when it warned Tinubu against trusting the North over his presidential ambition.
Hear what Ayodele said in April, 2020 on the development: “Tinubu should consult God more than humans in his ambition. Most of his foot soldiers will not support him. There is a northern agenda against him. From what I have seen, I will advise him to take his time to consult God more. He is working towards gaining the support of the north but he should beware of the north because they will betray him more.”.
