Family and friends of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Rt. AIG Fatai Oladipupo has condoled with him over demise of her wife, Alhaja Raliat Oladipupo who died on Sunday at the age of 55 yrs.
The wife of the Retired AIG died on Sunday after a brief illness and was buried on Sunday and buried in Islamic rite.
At the Three (3) day fidau prayer held on Tuesday for the deceased in Ibadan, people gathered to eulogies the departed soul, describing her as a mother who lived a fulfilled life during her lifetime.
Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Security Matters, Fatai Owoseni in her tribute said that word of mouth is not enough to described the kindness of late Mrs Oladipupo while he prayed that God should give the family fortitude to bear the loss.
The outgoing President of Central Council of Ibadan Indigien (CCII), Chief Yemi Soladoye called on children of the deceased to uphold legacy that their mother left behind, saying that though their mother is no more but her works lives on.
While delivering the fridaus sermon titled: “Life is a fading shadow”, the State Missioner, Ansar-udeen, Oyo State, Alhaj. Basheer Elesinmeta, stated that every living creature can be likened to arrival and departure at Airport, which simply means every man must taste death.
He added :”We must always submit ourselves to the will of Allah. This is simply because there would be a time we would cease to exist and be referred to as the dead.”
The cleric urged the husband as well as the children of the deceased to try as much as possible to immortalise her in a way people would benefit and that they would continue to pray for the repose of her soul. “
Speaking on behalf of the family, one of the children of the deceased, Jubril Oladipupo decribed his late mother as a brave woman who has touched lives of poor and less privileges in the society during her lifetime, adding that her presence will be missed.
He however said that a foundation will be registered in the name of Mrs. Oladipupo so as to continue to help the masses and reached out to the less privilege, saying that this will keeps memory of their late mum alive.
