Nigerians have taken to the social media to air their opinions after there was a report that popular Instagram comedian, thecutebiola, whose real name is Abiola Abdulgafar, has been arrested by the Nigerian Navy after he post in his official Navy camouflage for his birthday 3 days ago.
The comedian who clock 24th, shared on his Instagram account photos of himself wearing the Nigerian Navy camouflage in celebration of his birthday. The comedian who was also known by his fans as Ankara Gucci, also posed with a brand new Ford SUV which was allegedly gifted to him by one of his godfathers and admirers.
But, surprising enough or unlucky for the comedian, the photos he posted was collage into a video by one of his fans, who posted it online. The video went viral, prompting his arrest by the Naval for posting for his birthday shoot in his official uniform, something which according to information wasn’t supposed to be done by an officer.
But many Nigerians have been airing their views about the arrest of the popular comedian who joined the Nigerian Navy in 2018. According to many of them, he couldn’t have been arrested just because he posed for photos his official uniform.
Some of them claimed that many military uniforms for their weddings and birthday with some even dancing in their uniforms. Something that’s always done by military personnel in other climes.
Many cited that his arrest was due to the fact that he flaunted an expensive car which some of his superior can’t even afford to buy.
Reports however have it that the comedian who is from Ilorin in Kwara state might spend sometime in prison because the offence is punishable or be outrightly dismissed by the navy.
