Wife of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi is set to mark this year’s World Book Day with special readings from her latest book, Where is Your Wrapper? come Thursday April 22nd, 2021 inside the Adetiloye Hall, Ado Ekiti, beginning from 4pm prompt.
According to a press statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday and co-signed by Ekiti ANA’s State chairman, Dr Sola Balogun, Public Relations Officer, Dr Olaide Nasir and Secretary, Gani Salau, Erelu Fayemi who is a distinguished member and pillar of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) in Ekiti State shall use the reading event to commemorate the World Book Day which is actually billed for Friday April 23rd, 2021.
The day is celebrated world wide as a platform to showcase the global love for books through shared reading of stories and books.
According to Erelu Fayemi who had planned a public presentation of Where is Your Wrapper? for December 16 last year, but had to postpone it because of the second wave of Covid 19, the April 22 reading shall replace the earlier book presentation mainly to mark the World Book Day.
The seasoned writer, activist and promoter of the female gender empowerment also plans to collaborate with ANA Ekiti State chapter in celebrating the World Book Day 2021 through the reading event which shall feature the author herself, dignitaries, ANA members and students drawn from tertiary institutions in the state.
