
Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, FNSE, FISE, FNIEEE, FIMC, the pioneer Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, has been named Best Rector of the Year 2025 in recognition of his visionary leadership and contributions to technical education in Nigeria.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed received the prestigious Face of Living Hero of Academic World Award 2025 from the Life Value Awareness and Leadership Secure Initiative (LIVALSI) at a ceremony held at Madam Edo Junction, opposite NYSC Camp, Kubwa, Abuja. The award, presented on Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day, honored him as the “Distinguished Pioneer Leadership in Technical Education and Best Rector of the Year, 2025.”
According to the school’s Public Relations Officer, Oladejo Samson Adeolu, the recognition celebrates the Rector’s exceptional leadership qualities, philanthropic initiatives, and dedication to academic innovation, entrepreneurship training, and industry-relevant education.
Since assuming office as the first Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Dr. Abdul-Hameed has overseen remarkable institutional growth. His administration has prioritized infrastructural development, stakeholder engagement, and youth empowerment, positioning the institution as a model for technical education across the country.
In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Abdul-Hameed reaffirmed his commitment to raising graduates equipped with practical skills and to supporting the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
