Bursar of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Mrs. Roseline Bolatito Akande, has denounced rumour that she was chased by security men out of the Oye-Ekiti premises of the University on Friday.
She also denied the rumour making the rounds that she as sent a letter of suspension via an electronic mail from the Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Mr. Abayomi Kuku.
The social media was awashed with reports that alleged that the Bursar was chased out of the University premises on Friday after a letter of suspension was sent to her WhatsApp by the P.A to the VC.
But denying the reports in a statement she personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti at the weekend, Mrs. Akande described the rumour as lies from the pit of hell, and stories being cooked up by enemies of progress.
Her statement reads in part: ” My attention has been drawn to the rumour making the rounds that l was chased out of the premises of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti FUOYE, in Oye-Ekiti campus and that l had received a letter of suspension from one Mr. Abayomi Kuku, Personal Assistant to Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, who is our Vice-Chancellor,.
I want to categorically state that this is not true because l have my name and Intergrity to protect. Any Journalists who wishes to know the truth about what has happened to me regarding my position as Bursar of FUOYE should reach me through my cell phone contact which they can easily get through the media unit of the institution.
I also wish to inform the general public that l will speak at the appropriate time in the recent developments in FUOYE.
I am embarrassed by the rumour and categorically denounce it. Thank you.”
