In a press release signed by the the Special Adviser to the VC on media, Fasina noted that there is a release of some purported admission notices/letters via some online platforms to the effect that prospective candidates are already allegedly printing those admission letters/notices allegedly offered to candidates from catchment areas, among other areas which are false.
The statement reads below:
PRESS RELEASE
FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE-EKITI
(FUOYE)
Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
March 16, 2021
The attention of the Vice-Chancellor has been drawn to a strange development that there is a release of some purported admission notices/letters via some online platforms to the effect that prospective candidates are already allegedly printing those admission letters/notices allegedly offered to candidates from catchment areas, among other areas.
The purported admission notices/letters were alleged to have been offered by FUOYE via online platforms on the portal of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and others, to candidates who scored bellow 180 and 200 in UTME.
We therefore wish to state categorically the following facts :
That the only admission list officially released from FUOYE are those on MERIT list.
That, as at today, March 15, 2021, there have not been any other admission list officially from FUOYE, apart from the list on MERIT.
That any list or lists in circulation via any online platform whatsoever, which are being branded as supplementary admission list from FUOYE is fake, did not emanate from FUOYE and should be regarded as SCAM.
That FUOYE is already compiling the supplementary admission list and , shall in due time, release same very soon.
That members of the public, especially, candidates seeking admission into FUOYE should beware of admission racketeers, offering fake admission notices and letters via hacked online platforms.
Signed
Wole Balogun,
Special Adviser on Media to the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina.
