Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and Balogun Adinni of Ibadanland, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, has congratulated the Aare Musulumi Of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alh Dawud Makanjuola Akinola on his birthday.
Gbolarumi in a statement personally signed by him described the religious leader whose birthday coincides with celebration of this year eid Adha on July 20 as a quintessential Islamic leader who has been in the forefront of enhancing peace in Yorubaland.
He as well sent his Sallah greetings to all Muslim faithfuls as the world celebrates this year Eid Ul Adha.
Gbolarumi there advised all Muslims in Oyo State to follow all COVID-19 advisories as the country is presently experiencing the third wave of the pandemic.
He noted that Eid-al Adha celebration always characterised by mass movement and friendly felicitation saying the novel pandemic as made it mandatory that Muslims should join in curbing the further spread and protection of lives by adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols as they pray to Almighty Allah during the Eid.
He advised the faithfuls to, as much as possible, avoid crowded places but in situations where avoidance is not visible, they are advised to wear face mask, observe social distancing and be safety conscious.
