Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, has expressed heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming show of love, goodwill messages, prayers, and words of encouragement received on the occasion of his birthday, celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Olaniyi Stephen, on March 5, 2025, Gbolarumi extended his gratitude to the people of Oyo State, political and religious leaders, traditional rulers, friends, associates, colleagues, and family members who reached out to celebrate him.
He specifically acknowledged the support of Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, who was represented by members of his cabinet, as well as notable dignitaries including the Managing Director of Solutions FM, Chief Taofeek Adegboyega (who chaired the occasion), Deputy Chief of Staff Hon. Folajimi (Don), former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly Senator Sumonun, South West PDP Women Leader Chief (Mrs.) Bosede Adedibu, High Chief Nurani Akanbi, and several lawmakers at both the federal and state levels.
Gbolarumi also recognized the contributions of Hon. Shina, Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi, Chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation Hon. Ademola Omotoso, Oluyole Local Government Chairman Chief Akeem Olatunji, and many others who made generous cash and material donations in honor of his birthday.
Reflecting on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of faith and resilience, stating, “I am deeply moved by the love and kindness shown to me. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and we must never lose faith in God Almighty.”
