Former Deputy governor and PDP Chieftain in Oyo State, Barr. (Alhaji) Hazeem Gbolarumi has mourned the death of former Speaker of the state, Rt. Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, and commiserated with his family and people of the state.
Gbolarumi, in a statement signed on Friday, 15th of May, 2020 by his Special Assistance on Media, Olaniyi Stephen, said, he received the news of the sudden demise of Rt. Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, who was also Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources until his death with shock and great sorrow.
He described late Kehinde Ayoola as an epitome of humility, honesty, hardwork and excellence. He added that Ayoola was a man of integrity with a humble spirit who always took upon himself the burden of peace building, democratic consolidation,
dedicated and amiable person whose leadership qualities and sense of duty endeared him to many who met him.
“Being a necessary end that comes at appointed time, it is not the timing of one’s death that is important; rather, what one brings to life matters more. On this score, we derive consolation from the fact that Rt. Hon. Kehinde Ayoola lived a life well spent serving his country diligently in various capacities, in both private and public sectors”. He said.
“Clearly, such grave loss will be deeply felt by Oyo State People Democratic party and I pray that God Almighty grant Ayoola’s family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
“May God Almighty grant his soul eternal repose,” he stated.
He also commiserated with the deceased immediate family; and the government and people in Oyo State for their lost of an illustrious and industrious son. He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest.
