Former Deputy governor and PDP Chieftain in Oyo State, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, has issued a stern warning to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, to desist from unguided comments on the dissolution of the local government councils by the state government and alleged breach of law in the appointment of Caretaker Chairmen.
This contains in a press releases through his spokeman, Olaniyi Stephen. Gbolarumi calls their attention to the purported election that produced them as the Chairmen of their respective local governments on May 12th, 2018 was the election in which Court restrained the formal governor Of the state, Abiola Ajimobi, from conducting but, insisted that no court has the power to stop the conduct of the local council polls scheduled to hold across the 33 Local Government Areas and 35 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) when Ajimobi was reacting to the ruling delivered by the court presided over by Justice J.O. Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, sitting in Ibadan, which on Wednesday 2nd of May, 2018 suspended the election to the LCDAs.
“Alhaji Gbolarumi is worried by APC’s inciting statements. He said respect for the office of the governor or heads of government in any clime is not a matter of choice but a civic obligation operates by laws of the land, and being an opposition party or critic is no license to issue abusive, intemperate and slanderous, hate speeches on government or governor of the State.”
Adding that “The APC in Oyo State has proven that it is not a party to be trusted or taken seriously.
“For the umpteenth time, Gbolarumi urges Oyo citizens who see merit in the war that the Seyi Makinde -led administration is working to change the Fortune of the state not to be distracted by the APC and their agents of corruption to discredit the war.
He cautioned, APC in the State to stop distracting the Governor, that Gov. Seyi Makinde is a complete democrat who had been adjudged to be fair in his political approach by both local and international communities, and “has remained focused in restoring the values of the state debased by their ilk in order to guarantee them a better future”. He said.
The Governor, has since inception of his tenure been working assiduously on the Oyo project and has been impacting on the restoration of the state’s core values, improvements in civil servants and pensioner’s welfare.
He maintained that APC will kick, knowing fully well that they governed the state for good Eight years without meaningful progress. In other words, it too early to criticise a government of less than a year who concentrates on farming, infrastructures, healthcare services and education. It is my fervent belief that this Government will surely make Oyo State great. As a result, the people Oyo state should be proud of the attention, love and admiration, importance, respect and investment the State would experience soonest. A constructive approach is welcome for this administration to be more focussed and delivered the dividends of democracy.
