Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has expressed his appreciation for the support from former Military Governor, Major General Oladayo Popoola (rtd), during the ownership dispute over the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
Makinde praised Popoola’s dedication to securing ownership of the institution for Oyo State during Popoola’s 80th birthday thanksgiving service at Vine Branch Church in Ibadan.
Makinde also commended Popoola’s contributions to education and socio-economic development in the state. He urged Popoola’s children to uphold their father’s legacy.
In response, Popoola thanked God for his life and acknowledged Makinde’s efforts in the state, presenting him with a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV at a birthday reception. The event was attended by Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Naimot Salako, as well as other government officials.
