•Says decision to remove him is because they voted for Eddy Olafeso
The Oyo State youth leader of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Asiwaju Adekola Adeola has revealed that old SPD wing in the political party who are close to the state governor, are in control of party affairs.
The youth party leader who was rumoured of being removed from the ruling said it was the handiwork of the party members who are close to the governor that announced his false removal.
Adeoye while speaking on a radio program on Monday, Gbangbalassata on Splash FM which was anchored by Abiodun Adewole, he said the PDP party members who were from old Accord Party, AD, PDP and other political parties don’t have say in the party affairs except the ones from old Social Democratic Party (SDP).
According to Adeoye, this was what prompted the party leaders to rejuvenate the political party but they were misconstrued.
Adeoye also added that their travail in the party increased after they voted for Eddy Olafeso during the South West Zonal party leadership in Osogbo, Osun State Capital.
He added that one of the party leaders, Adebisi Olopoeyan belongs to the old PDP, a reason for his rejection. He described how Olopoeyan and former State governor, Senator Rashidi Ladoja convinced the youths to support the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde during the electioneering period.
He said Olopoeyan was the one that brought Makinde to contest on platform of PDP. He said all promises made by the governor, none of them has been fulfilled.
He said 95% of people following Makinde claiming to be PDP members were not on ground during electioneering period as he described how they canvassed for votes and none of them who are following the governor were in the struggle.
He made mention of Alh. Muraina, Mulikat Akande, Former Deputy Governor, Alh. Hazeem Gbolarumi, Alh. Nureni Akanbi, Engr. Femi Babalola (Jogor) and other party leaders who belongs to Old PDP and have never left the political party, saying Gov. Makinde has rendered them redundant and lorded his people from SDP over them.
