A former Lagos councillor representing an area in Araromi area of Lagos State who is identified as Akeem Oyewunmi has been spotted in the state pushing garbage truck.
This man in a viral video was seen stopped by some men and asking him some questions. And while replying them, the man who is nicknamed, Anibaba said when he was Councillor during military regime of former head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, he received N500 as salary.
He added that after tax had been deducted from the salary, what would be left with N444. He said before, only one councillor representing the whole Ajah area saying Ajah to Obalende were under a ward before areas like Apapa, Surulere, Mainland and others were created.
This really showed how things have been getting bad from the past. The man gave a clue that leaders in the past did manage the resources unlike today that our common wealth is mismanaged.
Although, according to the man in the video, the truck he was pushing contained food for his cattle. But the question is, should a former councillor be seen in this kind of situation which seem not good enough?
