It was an unbelievable scene at Orogun Area of Ibadan, the Oyo State’s capital on Thursday (7th October, 2021) when an hunter identified as Akeem Olaide, AKA “Agbede” allegedly shot his wife and ran away.
According to a programme presented on Splash FM today, (Aditu) monitored by Double A Exclusive Media, this was said to have happened around some minutes before 1pm on Thursday.
According to the daughter of the couple, Zainab Ganiyu, “my mum just came back from market and was setting things up when my dad suddenly came with a locally made pistol and was exchanging words with my mum; although I told my mum to excuse him and find a way to hid because I’ve seen the gun he rapped with a face towel, probably my mum didn’t believe he could do that” she said. The daughter when asked the reason why her dad did that, she said the only point her that was emphasizing was that, he called and the wife’s didn’t pick up her calls.
An eye witness told our correspondent that, the man has always been fomenting trouble on the woman for a very long time, “although the woman rented the apartment she’s living here because they’ve divorced each other but the man use to come and sleep with her once in a while and still would not allow her to have peace” she said.
Meanwhile, Chief Kehinde Ege, the native doctor who is treating the victim said, he as removed thirty-one cartridge bullets from her rib and arm and she’s now recuperating, “he shot her in the rib and arm but thank God she’s responding to treatment and we’ve removed thirty-one cartridge bullets so far” he said.
Moreover, the Oluode of Ajibode, Sule Oladimeji said, he and his team are on the lookout for Agbede who was already on the run as at last week Thursday and latest development shows that the hunters group has apprehended him and handed him over to Orogun Police Division for proper investigation.
The woman has five children for the man, four females, one male and she didn’t have any other husband aside him.
