Edge Tech Solution has donated computers to People’s Girls Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan, as part of its commitment to promoting ICT literacy among students.
Speaking yesterday at the donation event, the Director of Edge Tech Solution, Dr. Seyi Akanbi, emphasized the importance of equipping students with digital skills to enhance their learning experience and prepare them for the future.
“Computers are no longer a luxury but a necessity in today’s world,” Akanbi said. “The earlier students have access to tools that provide hands-on experience, the better for their future.”
He noted that the donated computers would not only improve the students’ learning process but also equip them with the skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world.
“The future is already here, and if our students do not have the right resources to maximize it, they may struggle to compete globally,” he added.
Addressing the broader state of education in Nigeria, Akanbi urged the government to invest more in technology-driven learning.
“The government needs to focus on future trends and provide resources that will prepare students for the challenges ahead. When we graduated, we had limited resources and were not fully prepared for the digital age. Now, we must intentionally equip the next generation with the tools, training, and knowledge they need to thrive,” he said.
The Principal of People’s Girls Grammar School (Senior), Mrs. Veronica Alabi, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating that the equipment would significantly enhance the students’ learning experience.
She assured the donors that the computers would be put to good use and expressed interest in future collaborations with Edge Tech Solution.
