IDG Celebrates Olagunju’s Election as Fellow of Nigerian Academy of Letters

The Ibadan Discourse Group (IDG), a gathering of distinguished Nigerians from the South West, has extended warm congratulations to renowned journalist and writer, Dr. Lasisi Olagunju, on his recent election as a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL).

Dr. Olagunju, who serves as Editor of the Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, is also a valued member of the Ibadan Discourse Group. In a statement issued by the group’s Coordinator, Mr. Clement Ige, IDG described Dr. Olagunju as a “pride to the Tribune stable in particular, and to journalism in general,” praising his role as one of the leading ethical voices in the media landscape.

“We felicitate with one of us, Dr. Lasisi Olagunju, on his election as a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters. Dr. Olagunju is a deserving recipient — a deep thinker, a consummate professional, and an award-winning journalist whose writings continue to uplift society,” the statement read.

The group further lauded Olagunju as a “first-class researcher, philosopher, and people’s columnist,” expressing pride in his latest recognition and offering prayers for continued excellence and service to humanity.
