Following the sack of Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, some Nigerians have been commending the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed for fulfilling his promise of disgracing politicians that rig out of office.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday nullified Ihedioha’s victory and declared Senator Hope Uzodimma from All Progressives Congress (APC) as dully elected governor of Imo State
The country’s CJN made a statement before 2019 general elections saying any politicians rigging elections in the country will disgraced out of office.
The statement reads:
“Anybody that knows he won election by rigging should excuse himself before we disgrace him judiciously”.”Is better we do justice and inherit the kingdom of heaven than to align with political criminals and lose our integrity and be condemn hereafter by God”.
“I have warn judges handling election cases, I will monitor them, where I’m not, God would be their watching”.
