Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Saturday said his administraion will conduct elections into Local Government Areas in the state by the first quarter of next year.
The governor who stated this on Saturday evening while featuring on a radio programme to mark his first 30 days in office added that his administration is determined to make local governments in the state stronger.
He also revealed that his administration has plans to reorganise the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) and ensure that it is made up of persons of integrity and impeccable character.
According to him, OYSIEC will conduct a free, fair and transparent election next year.
