Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has written a touching message in memory of his late husband during the 40 days Fidau prayer for the deceased.
Below is what she wrote:
40 days without my pillar of support
Today, Thursday, August 6, 2020 makes it exactly 40 days since you were laid to rest.
It has been 40 days of sleeplessness, pain and at the same time, joy for a life well lived, sleeplessness when I lie down on our bed and I see that empty space where you would always lie beside me, pain because I never knew the journey we both embarked on 40 years ago would end so soon.
Everyday without you has been so tough, I never knew the true meaning of outbreak – I never knew such extreme emotional pain – I never knew my heart could hurt his much – But one thing I know is that I love you and miss you so much.
However, I’m happy that for 40 years, you gave the best of yourself to me, your children and grandchildren.
They were 40 years of good memories that I always draw on whenever the weight of your absence overwhelms me.
The calls, messages and stories of how you touched several lives that I was not even aware of, have come in torrents, giving me joy that you lived a life of service and selfless giving.
I promise to continue to uphold all that we shared dear to my heart and uphold the values and promises that we made to each other.
My love, you are greater in death than I could ever imagine. I will forever love you and if ever there is reincarnation, I will be your wife again.
