A new video circulating on social media has featured the mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisioluwa Ayanwale also known as Imisi, narrating how she was allegedly dragged out of a hotel at midnight and left stranded for reasons unknown.
In the video, which has since gone viral, Imisi’s mother recounted her ordeal in a voice note, claiming that since the incident, her daughter has been avoiding her.
According to her, she was prevented from seeing Imisi after being forced out of the hotel where she had lodged. She further alleged that Imisi had promised to send her ₦100,000 for upkeep but that her manager eventually gave her ₦30,000 after repeated appeals.
The revelation has triggered widespread discussion online, with many Nigerians expressing sympathy while others questioned the circumstances surrounding their strained mother-daughter relationship.
The controversy has also reignited past claims that Imisi’s mother had abandoned her when she was about 12 years old—a situation said to have exposed the reality TV star to hardship and trauma during her teenage years.
While some believe Imisi’s current attitude might be a reflection of unresolved childhood pain, others have cautioned against drawing conclusions without hearing her side of the story.
Imisi’s mother, who identifies as a prophetess in a Celestial Church, has yet to provide further details about the incident beyond the circulating video.
