Three members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) who were detained for allegedly arresting suspected Fulani warlord Iskilu Wakili has been released.
The three OPC men who were arrested, charged to court and subsequent detained were released on Tuesday by an Iyaganku Magistrate Court.
The trio are Dauda Kazeem, Awodele Adedigba and Ramon Hassan.
They were discharged based on Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) advised.
It court had ruled that the suspects should not be charged for any offense because there is no evidence to charge against them.
Oyo State Coordinator of OPC, Comrade Rotimi Oguntade also known as Oluomo confirmed the released.
They were initially granted bail on health ground but has been released without charges by the court.
The trio who arrived the Agodi Correctional Centre at about 1PM were later led to the office of the Oyo State Coordinator of OPC, Comrade Olumo.
Recall Wakili became famous for allegedly terrorising the Ayete community and other adjourning villages in Ibarapa area of Oyo state.
