Isokan Ipinle Oyo, an Ibadan-based political group, has commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for approving the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin.
In a release signed by the Convener, Dr. Laolu Adepoju, on Saturday, the group praised Governor Makinde for living up to his promises of following tradition and culture in accordance with the law of the land.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has once again rekindled hope in due process in line with the traditional institution,” the group explained.
Isokan Ipinle described Governor Makinde as a God-given leader of this generation and called on all the people of the state to rally round and support their Governor.
“Let me take this opportunity to thank you sir, Your Excellency, for being a wonderful leader in this our generation. We cannot thank you enough for all you had done for our state at this time,” the release stated.
On behalf of all members of the group, Dr. Adepoju congratulated the Governor, the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, all sons and daughters of Ibadanland, friends of Ibadan, as well as residents of Ibadanland.
It would be recalled that the state government had earlier announced that the coronation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, July 12, 2024.
