There are global outrage and condemnations as Israeli airstrikes hit a UN run school in Gaza refugee camp and an Al Ahli Baptist hospital sheltering displaced Palestinians in Gaza, killing hundreds of people.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanhyau however denies involvement in the hospital attack and blames it on Palestinian misfired missiles. But the Palestinian ambassador to the U.N described the Israeli P.M statement as a fabricated story and said Israel must be held responsible for the hospital attack.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has condemned the attack on the hospital and called for humanitarian ceasefire. Turkey, Qatar and EU have also condemned the Israeli attack on the hospital in Gaza.
Russia and UAE called for emergency UN Security Council meeting over the hospital attack.
U.S President Joe Biden, Israel’s main ally, has expressed deepest condolences to the civilian victims of what he called “Gaza City hospital explosion” and has headed to Israel to seek diplomatic end to the war.
Meanwhile, there are massive protests in Ramallah, West Bank against Israel over the Gaza hospital attack
At least 3200 Palestinians have been killed while over 12,000 others were injured.
One Reuter correspondent was killed and six other journalists including two Al Jazeera were injured in the Israeli airstrikes.
The Palestinian President Abas has declared that the Israeli attacks on Gaza and other Palestinian territories will not make the Palestinians to surrender their lands. President Abas said anything short of the ending to the current Israeli attacks on Gaza is unacceptable.
Meanwhile, Abas and Jordan leaders have cancelled the scheduled meeting with President Biden as a mark of protest against Israel’s bombing of the Gaza hospital.
