The Kaduna State Government has commenced the implementation of the new national minimum wage of N30,000 for workers in the state.
This followed the approval by the State Executive Council in August.
Employees of the state government are in high spirits as they have begun receiving salary transaction alerts for the month of September which has captured the thirty thousand naira minimum wage, making the state the first to begin implementation in the country.
Officials of the state government have confirmed the development. They said the move is in fulfillment of a promise made last month by the Nasir El-Rufa’i led government.
