Police officers were seen in a video which is currently going viral arresting some June 12 protesters in Ojota, Lagos State today.
Protesters took to the streets on Saturday morning to carryout their planned June 12 protests as they were seen chanting and carrying placards with different inscriptions written on it due to the current state of the country.
The June 12 protest at Ojota was peaceful until security operatives started shooting teargas to disperse the June 12 protesters. However, the protest at Ojota seems like it’s over after Policemen were seen arresting the unarmed peaceful June 12 protesters and putting them in a van.

June 12 of every year is a day set aside in Nigeria to celebrate her Democracy Day. Nigeria’s Democracy Day was previously held annually in May 29 until it was change to June 12 in 2018. Democracy Day celebration marks the day the military handed over power to an elected civilian government in 1999.
