Following his arrest and detention on Monday, Ibrahim Magu has been suspended as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
It was gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari took this decision after the corruption allegations against him, the BBC Hausa Service reports, quoting an unnamed presidency source on Tuesday.
This decision was reached after he was arrested and detained by security operatives in Abuja on Monday.
He afterward appeared before a panel probing allegations of gross misconduct against him.
